Employee Benefits

Eligibility - Employees who are classified as Regular Part Time or Full Time Employees  are benefit eligible.
Health  & Wellness Benefits
Medical Plan – Employees are covered under the Regence BlueShield of Idaho Innova Plan. Includes unlimited office visits and maternity.
Dental – Provided by Delta Dental of Idaho.
Vision Care – Provided through a self plan by Syringa.
Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment – Benefit eligible employees receive Life and AD&D benefits. 
Long Term Disability Insurance - Benefit eligible employees receive LTD benefits. 
Wellness Center – Employees and their spouses have free use of the Therapy Services facility. 
Employee Assistance Program – all employees and their families have Employee Assistance Program services available through Reliant Behavioral Health. Included with this service are many mental health, financial, and work/life balance assistance programs.
Employee Health Services – Services available to employees free of charge include: yearly lipid panels, back safety and lifting screenings, flu shots, TB testing, Hep B vaccines and Smoking Cessation classes and aids.
Compensation
Paid Time Off – Regular Part Time and Full Time employees accrue Paid Time Off benefits based on productive hours worked which incorporates vacation, short term sick leave and personal time.
Long Term Sick Leave – Designated for longer term leaves, Regular Part Time and Full Time employees accrue LTSL based on hours worked. 
Family Medical Leave of Absence -   Employees may take up to 12 weeks of FMLA based on federal eligibility requirements. Used in conjunction with PTO and LTSL benefits. 
Bereavement Leave - Up to 3 days of leave is available to employees.
Financial Benefits
Retirement Plan – Syringa provides a generous Defined Contribution Plan for their employees funded by the hospital with no matching requirement and a 4-year vesting period. 
457B Plan: Employees may contribute pre-tax dollars into a 457B Plan.
Employee Write-Off Program – Syringa provides eligible employees with a 20% reduction on their co-insurance amounts for services provided by Syringa Hospital & Clinics. 
Flexible Spending Accounts: this fund allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for un-reimbursed medical expenses and/or childcare expenses. With the Syringa Flex Plan, you can reduce your taxable income, while saving money paying for needed medical/childcare services.
Direct Deposit/Payroll Deductions: Employees can take advantage of direct deposit and a variety of payroll deductions including AFLAC, Supplemental Life, Christmas Funds, Employee Gifting and more.
Career and Education
Promotion  - Every effort to promote career advancement by promoting internally when possible to fill management and other vacancies. 
Education – Syringa uses a variety of sources for education for employee education including offering Continuing Medical Education funds, offering webinars, offsite and onsite education, and networking opportunities.
Tuition Assistance Program – Funded by the SGH Foundation and the hospital, the TAP program encourages local community members to seek medical careers and be hired locally.
