Vanessa Klaus spent most of her career in cardiovascular and geriatric medicine. She completed part of her undergraduate education at the University of Idaho, eventually completing her bachelors degree in nursing at Idaho State University and worked in the treasure valley for most of her nursing career. She received her Nurse Practitioner Post- Masters education at Gonzaga University in 2005. She was the cardiovascular clinical specialist and clinical nurse educator at St. Lukes for the Heart Institute for 20 of her 25 years at that medical center. Vanessa was also an assistant professor for Idaho State University and taught in the fast-track nursing program for several years. She worked for United Health Care from 2017 until 2022.Vanessas family is from the Slate Creek area, and her father served in the US Air Force for 20 years. She is fluent in German and is currently learning Italian. She has traveled extensively world-wide and is proud to claim Slate Creek and Idaho as her home.
