Upcoming Events/Classes

At Syringa Hospital & Clinics we do our part to keep our community strong and healthy. We sponsor a variety of community events and classes throughout the year for people of all ages and backgrounds. Most of our events are FREE or low cost and bring together medical professionals and the local community.

Hospice Volunteer Training

Monday, Nov. 4th & Wednesday, Nov. 6th • 9am - 3pm • Syringa’s Soltman Center
What does a hospice volunteer do? Not all hospice volunteers help in the same way. Here are three opportunities available for Syringa’s hospice volunteers: Direct patient or family care, Indirect patient or family care, Fundraising or clerical.
You can volunteer as much or as little as you’d like. We can work with any schedule. For more information or to sign up for training, call (208) 983-8550.

Tree of Lights Memorial Service • Sunday, December 8th

Grangeville Senior Center, program starts at 2pm, doors open at 1:30pm
Please join us for a Candlelight Service that will include a memorial service for loved ones, music, and inspirational poems.
To allow us time to prepare the personalized, handmade ornaments, your donation should be received no later than Monday, December 2, 2024. A form can be picked up at the hospital or various businesses in town or to download a printable form Click Here. Diabetes Group Education & Support

Worrying about complications, medications or what you should eat? Looking for support? Wondering how to monitor your glucose or how to use the results?
JOIN US and get the tools you need to live a healthier, happier life with diabetes. PLUS, you’ll develop a support network with your community and Syringa healthcare team. All classes are FREE and will be held at the Soltman Center in Grangeville. Call Beth Patten at 208-983-8590 to sign up!

Heartsaver - CPR/AED/First Aid Classes

In-person classes are approximately 4 hours long and typically held once a month at the Soltman Center in Grangeville or online classes can be taken at any time, followed by an in-person skills test with an instructor.
Syringa Hospital's CPR Certification is through AHA (American Heart Association).
Certificate is available for Providers (nurses, doctors, EMTs, etc…) or general public or daycares.
All daycare providers MUST take an in-person class; all others have the option to take in-person class or online class.
Online classes (through AHA) can be taken anytime at your leisure and then contact us to schedule your in-person skills test (about 30 minutes).

Blood Drives

Give Blood - Save Lives!
Syringa sponsors 6 blood drives per year that are administered by Vitalant (previously known as Inland Northwest Blood Center) and are held at the Soltman Center - on Main in Grangeville, across from the hospital.
2024 blood drives:
December 5th, 9:30am - 2:00pm
