Biography:

Matt Black is a recent graduate of the University of Washington's Physician Assistant program with a Master of Clinical Health Sciences degree and a focus on Rural Primary Care Medicine. His contribution to Syringa Hospital & Clinics will primarily be focused on the Walk-in clinic and performing DOT physicals. Matt is originally from Utah where he completed his undergraduate studies in Emergency Services Administration through Utah Valley University and is a retired Captain/Paramedic with Unified Fire Authority in Salt Lake County. His passion for caring for people pushed him to pursue a second career with a higher level of medical care and ability. His interest in rural medicine and outdoor recreation brought him to north Central Idaho, and he is excited to immerse himself in the culture and people of Grangeville and surrounding communities.
